ACTING BIOGRAPHY
Clark Jarrett, a native Californian, remains active in the entertainment
field as an actor, spokesman, and voice-over talent.
Currently, Clark is seen by tens of millions of viewers every
day as one of TV’s hottest host-spokesmen, with three infomercials
on the air globally. Whether he’s starring with Suzanne Somers’
as her co-host on the highly successful TORSO TRACK infomercial,
or hosting the world’s number one seller, ORBITREK, Clark’s talents
for having a good time while producing results are unquestionable.
His hosting talents have earned him the coveted Telly Award and
six P.A.C.E. Awards.
If Mr. Jarrett’s face looks familiar it’s probably safe to assume
that you’ ve seen him perform. First, he was the original morning
host on the Family Channel’s FITNESS PLUS. This show allowed Clark
the opportunity to blend his improvisational skills and humor with
"the latest" in the world of health, fitness & fun!
In addition, for three years he could be seen introducing Channel
America's classic films from the '30s, '40s and '50s on the HOMETOWN
MATINEE.
Other television appearances include hosting his own show on Prime
Ticket, FITNESS TODAY, and a long working relationship with Juliet
Prowse, Richard Simmons & Pat Boone on the JC PENNEY SHOPPING NETWORK.
Having begun his professional acting on the sets of the soap operas
GENERAL HOSPITAL, DAYS OF OUR LIVES and CAPITOL, Clark soon landed
the recurring role of Lance on SANTA BARBARA.
He moved on to land several choice roles in feature films. Clark’s
roles include co-starring as the Venice Beach lifeguard in HOT MOVES
(now "double platinum" in video sales); a starring role as the geologist
with Donald Pleasance and Start Whitman in TREASURE OF THE AMAZON
(gaining worldwide release and seen on CBS, it was filmed deep within
the jungles of Mexico); and, a cold-hearted movie producer in the
romantic-comedy, TIPS.
Additionally, Clark enjoys the stage and has received glowing
reviews for his performances in the award-winning production of
Shakespeare's MACBETH, the impish Puck in A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM,
RICHARD III and CARS. He has also starred in THE MERCHANT OF VENICE,
and THE SOUND OF MUSIC.
Besides his current success, Clark has been seen in national ads
for Chevrolet, Lowenbrau Beer, Levi, Toyota, Wrigley Gum, and hundreds
of others.
In addition to his many activities, Clark co-produced the seminal
documentary POWER AND FEAR: THE HOLLYWOOD GREYLIST, dealing with
age discrimination in the television industry.
More recently, his multi- award-winning documentary on World War
I and his ninety-three year old grandfather, THE RETURN OF PAUL
JARRETT, has kept Clark on the road traveling the film festival
circuit.
Among the more than twenty awards the film has garnered so far
are the Gold Medal for Historical Series from the New York Festival
of Film, a Telly Finalist, a Silver Cindy, and a Gold Camera Award
from the U.S. International Film & Video Festival.
He is currently writing the feature-film screenplay based upon
the documentary.
Clark remains in top physical condition and enjoys helping groups
such as Big Brothers, St. John's Children's Hospital, the Special
Olympics, the Wildlife Waystation and the Pacific Boys Lodge, among
others.
Clark admits that he loves people: "Why else would I be in the
business of making people laugh and cry? That's what makes us so
special as a human race; our ability to relate to one another."
